The Eddie Slayton Memorial Award
The Eddie Slayton Memorial Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Regional Child Advocacy Center. Created by our Board of Directors, this lifetime achievement award recognizes individuals who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to serve and protect children in our community.
Honoring a Legacy
The award is named in loving memory of Eddie Slayton, a dedicated and longtime member of the Regional CAC Board of Directors. Eddie was not only a champion for our organization but a true advocate for children. His legacy of compassion, service, and unwavering commitment to child protection continues to inspire the work we do every day.
About the Award
Presented annually at the Honor Thy Children Dinner and Auction, the Eddie Slayton Memorial Award honors professionals or volunteers who have made a significant and lasting impact on the lives of children in Clarke, Washington, and Choctaw counties.
Nominees should exemplify:

Exceptional service, leadership, or volunteerism

A record of creating meaningful, positive change in their community
