Position Type: Full-time Position

The Victim/Family Advocate is responsible for providing direct services to child victims and their families to include intake, support, and follow-up on all open cases, court preparation, and support obtaining current case information, and recording this information in the agency’s tracking system.

A Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Criminal Justice, or related field is preferred. The position requires the ability to establish rapport with children and families, to work cooperatively in a multi-disciplinary team, and to perform assigned duties with minimum supervision. Additionally, knowledge of and sensitivity to childhood sexual and physical abuse victims and their non-offending families is needed. It also requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, documentation and record-keeping skills, and the ability to maintain computer databases and statistical information for reports.
